If when attempting to import you get a message that Tally cannot create your invoices, purchases or bank transactions due to transaction locking - this means that you are attempting to import transactions earlier than the transaction locking date. Transaction locking will need to be disabled prior to the creation of your invoices, purchases or transfers via the importer.
Transaction locking can be enabled in two areas. You should check both of these before attempting to import again.
- Globally – this can be enabled for all bank accounts by going to Settings > Advanced Settings > Untick the box for Transaction Locking > Click Update.
- Per Bank Account – to lock a single bank account just go to Bank > Edit Details button next to the bank account you wish to lock > Untick Transaction Locking > Click Update.
